Sony STR-DN1010 A/V receiver review
This is my receiver! I've been waiting for a 3D TV capable receiver since I bought my Samsung UN55C7000 3D TV. First off, it's a Sony. I've been a fan of Sony a/v equipment since I was a kid. You can't beat the stylish glossy black of a Sony. Besides it's good looks it is also the first a/v receiver capable of passing 3D signals via 4 HDMI 1.4 ports.
One of the things I didn't like about the older Sony's was their user interface. This was always a drawback but they finally got it right on the STR-DN1010 with their intuitive graphical user interface. Also, the STR-DN1010 allows audio and video signals to pass through if the receiver is turned off. This let's you watch tv without having to turn on your receiver. Another cool feature with Sony receivers is it's Digital Cinema Auto Calibration. The STR-DN1010 comes with a microphone you simply place it where you will be sitting and The STR-DN1010 automatically calculates the speaker placement and adjusts it's settings to optimize sound. Retail is $499 but you can get it for $308.99 from thenerds.net Sony STR-DN1010 A/V Receiver.
